Cafe Otef Swag
Cafe Otef Re’im is more than just a coffee shop—it is a testament to resilience, remembrance, and community. Founded in partnership with Reut Karp, whose ex-husband Dvir was tragically murdered by Hamas in front of their children on October 7th at Kibbutz Re’im, the café is staffed entirely by survivors of that day.
On the surface, it’s a cozy place serving coffee, sandwiches, and pastries, but its significance runs far deeper. It stands as both a memorial to those who were lost and a beacon of hope for those who survived. After evacuating, the entire Re’im community relocated to Tel Aviv, where they now live in two buildings near the café. Reut tirelessly moves between these spaces, striving to care for her children while keeping the spirit of her community alive.
Reut herself embodies both unimaginable tragedy and incredible strength. In her presence, laughter and tears exist side by side, yet despite her own struggles, she has an uncanny ability to uplift everyone around her—customers and employees alike.
