Meet Avigail from Earth Stories
At Hasod, we believe in the power of story—how it holds us, shapes us, and connects us to something deeper. So when we crossed paths with Avigail from Earthstories, the collaboration felt as natural as Israel’s nature trails. Both of us are grounded in something more than just beautiful objects—we’re rooted in meaning.
This month, we’re beyond excited to feature the work of Avigail Be’er, an artist whose creations don’t just live on paper—they breathe with the land of Israel.
Art That Grows From the Earth
Avigail’s journey began not in a gallery, but on a dairy farm in the southern hills of Israel, where days moved with the rhythm of the land and skies stretched endlessly. With a background in textile design, she brings a tactile, layered richness to her art—blending hand-drawn lines, digital textures, pastel dust, and even sunlight from her studio window.
Her process starts with silence. A walk. A shadow on a stone. And then, slowly, the magic builds—until each piece holds not just color, but memory.
After October 7: Creating from the Cracks
In the wake of tragedy, something unexpected happened: people started turning to her art as a refuge. They wrote her. They cried. They told her her work reminded them of the Israel they remembered—before grief fractured the familiar. Her pieces became small sanctuaries: wide skies, purple mountains, warmth, resilience. A reminder that even in chaos, there is still beauty. Still belonging. Still home.
The Collaboration: Sketchbooks & Soulwork
Together with Earthstories, we’re bringing you something truly special in this season’s Hasod box: a handcrafted item featuring Avigail’s work—designed to be touched, used, and loved. Think: deep blues, desert light, raw edges. A notebook that doesn’t wait for perfection, but invites you in with your wildest thoughts and messiest sketches.
Because, as says:
“The most beautiful notebook is the one that’s used.”
This collab is a tribute to what remains steady even in uncertain times: the land, our stories, and the art we make along the way.
